Agrain® Spent Grain ingredients are flour-like ingredients with functional properties made from high quality brewers' spent grain.
Designed to clean up food labels by offering multiple advantages in a single ingredient: enhancing culinary value, improving nutrition, and delivering measurable improvements on sustainability.
Agrain® Spent Grain is high in fiber (60%) and protein (20%), and is a good source of essential minerals like magnesium, iron and zinc. Improves the nutritional profile and Nutriscore of end products.
High water binding allows for higher hydration doughs and improved product texture (e.g. moisture, bite, crispness, chew).
High hydration increases dough yield, meaning more product from the same amount of dry ingredients.
Distinctive aroma profile and natural (neutral to dark) colour profile deriving from the gentle malting and roasting of brewers' grain. Available in three varieties (01, 02, 03) to suit the needs of your application.
